Mainline Tree Services agree to perform the work in a competent manner in according to British Standards 3998 (Tree work
Standards) and in compliance with the specification and quotations contained in the estimate unless otherwise specified by the client.
By acceptance of our quotation you accept our terms and conditions of work that are below.
All Contracts and instructions are accepted on the basis of payment of the full invoice within 14 days of date of invoice.
Amendments to the contract must be made in writing and signed by both parties.
The trees concerned in the contract may be in a Conservation area or be subject to a Tree Preservation Order. Upon receipt of the owner's or their agents written acceptance pf the contract, Mainline Tree Services will obtain the necessary permission to carry out the work from the relevant authority. This will be done at Mainline Tree Services expense on the understanding that we will be carrying out the works. We reserve the right to charge £90.00 for carrying out these checks if this work is then cancelled. If the permission to carry out the works on the quotation subject to a Tree Preservation Order or in a Conservation Area is declined, Green Co Professional Tree Surgeons cannot accept any liability for this.
Investigation of private Covenants and all other property rights which may be infringed by any works carried out by Mainline Tree Services shall be the responsibility of the owner or their agents and no liability shall be attached to Mainline Tree Services for their breach of such rights.
Unless a plan showing the exact location of underground pipes, wires or cables has been forwarded to us by the owner of the land or their agents prior to the formation of the contract, Mainline Tree Services shall be under no liability for any loss or damage caused to the pipes, wires and cables or consequential financial loss including but not limited to loss of profit or loss of the use resulting from the work performed under the contract.
Any charge imposed by any utility company or third party for the removal of power lines or telephone cables is the responsibility of the owner of the land or their agents, unless agreed in writing with Mainline Tree Services.
60 Days after the submission of the quotation we reserve the right to withdraw and re-price work, unless otherwise agreed in writing on acceptance of instructions from the owner of their agents.
Quotations for felling are based on the assumption of the trees being free from metal, stone or other hidden obstructions. In the event of additional work being required due to hidden obstructions Mainline Tree Services reserves the right to re-quote accordingly.
Stump Grinding involves the removal of the tree stump to 12 - 14 inches below ground but does not include the removal of lateral roots or the stump chippings, unless specified and agreed by Mainline Tree Services prior to written acceptance by the owner or their agents.
On the day or days of the scheduled tree works the crew will arrive on site at the time agreed at the acceptance of quote stage, we ask for any vehicles or obstacles that would be in our way of work to be moved etc due to us working with large machinery/vehicles and to avoid disturbance to third parties as much as possible. We will then set the site up accordingly signs, cones etc and then start work promptly.
The contract price is based on the site conditions existing at the time of the preparation of the estimate remaining unchanged and any increase if additional work or time is required due to any change in the conditions.
Trees and shrubs are guaranteed for 12 months after planting unless subject to drought or vandalism.
All work carried out by Mainline Tree Services is covered by a £5,000,000 Third Party and Public liability Insurance for damage to person or property that may result from the implementation of the contract.
As a customer you are entitled to a 14 day cooling of period from the time you except our estimate.
You must give 7 days notice of cancellation otherwise you will be subject to our minimum charge which is £135.00 If a job is cancelled after the crew arrive onsite you will be subject to pay the invoice in full.
