We will achieve this by:
- We Using only bio fuel the one we use is Aspen which limits your exposure to harmful substances
We use electric and battery powered tools wherever possible.
- Mainline Tree Services have taken a number of steps to reduce our overall carbon footprint. All journeys are carefully planned in advance and consideration given to purpose and routes so avoiding energy wastage. All vehicles and machinery are regularly serviced ensuring maximum fuel efficiency and alternative green fuels are used where possible. All vehicles and machinery is never left idling when not in use.
- Wherever possible to use local businesses to both increase the benefits to the local economy, this also provides jobs to the local community. By doing this we are also reducing our carbon footprint.
- We ensure that we recycle or reuse any waste product accumulated throughout our work. Wood or wood chip is sold or donated to be used as firewood or garden mulch and all other green waste is sent to recycling facilities in order to minimise landfill usage.
- MTS Comply with all environmental legislation, using codes of practice and guidance produced by regulatory bodies to assist where appropriate.
- Provide all employees with the necessary resources, equipment, information, instruction and training to fulfil the requirements of this policy, commensurate with their role.
- We strive to integrate environmental best practice into our business operations.
As part of our interview process we strive to find Arborist’s that are already conscientious and interested in environmental processes and how their actions impact the wider environment around them both at home and in the workplace.
